Since the little incident at the dock last week, life has been a little better. Wednesday night, after a few hours at the dock measuring lobster, I hung out with the locals at the fishing dock and had some homemade conch fritters, a few beers, and listened to island music. The sunset was breathtaking, and it was such a Caribbean paradise night. It was picture perfect to say the least

Thursday we had all day free to study for finals. Finals begin next Monday, and continue on until Wednesday. On Sunday our final DR papers are due, which is a pretty big time commitment. Much of my week has been dedicated to tanning poolside while studying. I sometimes wish I went to school in a tropical location so I could study for all my exams like this. Basking in the sun, reggae music pumping, studying with friends, taking breaks jumping into the pool to cool off. It is an amazing life. In the afternoon we had a fieldtrip to Sailrock, a development in South Caicos. It was so beautiful and we got to see a side of the island that we haven’t experienced. It was breathtaking, if I was a millionaire I would definitely buy one of these eco-friendly developments.
